its working just fine cant get the green light

i can add to the beginning or the end of the list and see it in preview but cant get the green light to move on. dont know what it wants me to do cleary.

Do both tasks as separate steps:

const $newStudent = $("<li>Sam Smith</li>"); // Task 1

$('.student-list').append($newStudent); // Task 2
