JAVA_HOME

'tools.jar' seems to be not in Android Studio classpath. Please ensure JAVA_HOME points to JDK rather than JRE.

i had changed the envirnomental settings in properties to b/java/jdk something but it still does not register when i open up adnroid studios need help asap

I had a similar problem when I set up Android Studio. What fixed it for me was adding a "\" to the end of the JAVA_HOME variable. E.g. C:\SomeFolder\Java\jdk1.8.0_42\ instead of just C:\SomeFolder\Java\jdk1.8.0_42.

Try that and see if it works for you.

i just did that and it still didnt work
