JavaScript jQuery Basics (2014) Creating a Simple Lightbox Adding New Attribute Values with attr()

jQuery Basics

I'm totally lost...can someone explain what this means:

Using jQuery only, add to all links with the class "external", the target attribute with the value of "_blank".

Thank you!

Select all the a tags with the class of external and add the target attribute to it. Example:

// This would add an attibute of 'title' and would set its value to 'This is a title!'
// Try changing the attribute name and value below and see if it works :)

// .attr("ATTRIBUTE NAME", "ATTRIBUTE VALUE");

$("a.external").attr("title", "This is a title!");

Thank you, Jeremy!

With your help, I was able to resolve the question.
