Know of any free frameworks?

I'm interested in playing with frameworks but not ready to commit to buying a premium version. Does anyone know of a decent free WP theme framework?

There are a few good WP frameworks that are free. If you are looking for a Bare "Bones" framework then try out "Bones". They don't consider themselves a framework but more of just a basic collection to help get you started. I use this when I start a custom project.

I also did find this list of the top 7 and the deference's between them. You can always check it out and see which is best for you. I also have to say that you can use frameworks such as Foundation or bootstrap and make it into a wordpress website.

There are a lot of powerful starter developer themes, but if you're going to go with a true Framework, I would suggest going with one of the premium ones because of their user base and support options.
