Learning android mobile app development Should i first learn java because i cant make heads or tails of any of this?

Im trying to learn how to write android apps and maybe ios later I need to know a step by step process to get me to the goal i seek..

Any suggestion would be helpful...

I would say go for the basic Java course first, then get into basic android, then get go back to java and do some more advanced course on collections, etc... then back to android.
