Lego an implied texture it seems visual texture is more implied than a lego block?

I think I need more info on the rationale for a lego block being implied (instead of actual) texture - especially in counterpoint to a visual pattern - I would have thought the opposite. Please explain why the block is implied texture. Thanks!
