Hi Gia, The challenge is actually asking you to convert the value of the role variable toUpperCase within the msg variable, like so:

let firstName = "gia";
let lastName = "tapia";
let role = 'developer';
let msg = firstName + ' ' + lastName + ': ' + role.toUpperCase();
