Python Python Collections (Retired) Dictionaries String Formatting with Dictionaries

    newItem = list()

        newVariable = dictionary

Oh, and you might want to dedent that return statement.

A few things,

you don't need to give 'dictionary' a 'newVariable'. You can just use 'dictionary'. Also, just make newItem an open list like

newItem = [] ( I also think list(newItem) would work but don't quote me on that)

You can also just straight append the newItem (which is the list you will be returning). No need to create a new variable for that either. And because newVariable is not a thing anymore, don't forget to remove all instances of it in your code and replace it with the proper variable name... ;-)
