I would like to share my little success story. I’m not quite sure that it is really a big deal. But for me it is.
So, when I almost finished this track and my FunFactsApp was about to be published I realized that I want my app to be special. I mean that it is going to Google Market and it is published worldwide and it is still serious even though it is my first learning experience. I want to do something real and feel my self proud of it. First of all I figured out that this app can be changed easily. You can can change string in FactBook class, rename labels and button to have a different app. Finally I made an app that shows random Hadith as the button is pushed. Hadith is a kind of muslim saint text. Reading Hadith is a very good activity for muslims. So this kind of app was meant to be recommended among people. This was a chance for a good distribution without expenses. In 3 weeks my app was downloaded for more than 100 times. Now it has 10 more downloads daily. It’s been downloaded in 10 countries. This result was made without any kind of promotion. I didn’t make any announcement or something like that.
So I feel great because this kind of statistics is a success for me. My son (he is 5 y.o.) was very attantive to my statistics research. He asked me everyday how many people downloaded my app today. So I promised to celebrate a day when we have 100 downloads.
Yesterday we finally made it.

A few questions; - How many Hadith's does it contain? - Is it something you update regularly? - What features did you implement to make a premium version worthwhile to the user, and how has making a premium version worked out for you?
It's very cool to see that something as simple as the app we've been constructing in our lessons can be re-worked a little bit and put onto the market place with positive impact. Perhaps I should do the same and generate facts for another subject matter, then I can complete the "Publish an Android App" module with the satisfaction that I didn't just put another carbon copy facts app on the market place.
