Magento Theme Development

Anyone know of a good place to learn magento and get a handle on how their themeing works? Have gone through a few different tutorials already and get the general idea of it but was wondering if there was something else out there that was better.

I've made many themes in Magento, and work as Magento Theme & extensions developers more than 3 years. You can try to make a simple theme first to understand the structure of custom Magento theme, then look in deep with some free Magento themes on Magento connect.
