Python Python Collections (Retired) Slices Slice Functions

Make a function name first_and_last_4 that accepts an iterable and returns the first 4 and last 4 items in the iterable.

can someone help me with my code? i'm stuck

slices.py
def first_4(abcd):
   return abcd[:4]
def odds(abcd):
  return abcd[1::2]
def first_and_last_4(abcd)
   return first_4(abcd) + abcd[len(abcd)-4:]

Alternatively

def first_and_last_4(my_it):
  return my_it[0:4] + my_it[-4:]

Hi Mayamiko,

Your last function is missing a colon at the end. After adding that, it should pass the challenge.
