"Make sure you're targeting the items inside 'main-list'."

I keep getting this error and I'm not sure how else to select the class "main-list"

Hi Chris!

In the first task, they want you to target the list items that are the children of .main-list, so you'd want to use the descendant selector (parent element and child target separated by a space), like this:

.main-list li {
  display: inline-block
}
