MAMP Localhost only displaying a blank page.

Any ideas? From reading other forums posts I made sure to ... 1) ensure that MAMP is loading ... the start page from MAMP loads fine displaying the MAMP home page. 2) restart my system

                &copy;<?php echo date('Y'); ?> Shirts 4 Mike
            </p>

is not the same as

            <p>
                &copy;<?php echo date('Y');  Shirts 4 Mike ?>
            </p>

Moving the ?> made a big difference.

that ?> certainly does make a big difference, it tells the server when to stop rendering php and to send the html to the browser.

you could also have Shirts 4 Mike before the ?> by doing this, this is concatenating the date function with the string(text) by using a dot.

            <p>
                &copy;<?php echo date('Y') . " Shirts 4 Mike"; ?>
            </p>
