margin & padding

What is the difference between nav{} marging & padding, and nav ul {} margin & padding plz? I changed them to see the difference, but nothing seems to change!

If your selector is just nav you change the margin and padding of the nav block itself. If you use the selector nav ul you will change the margin and padding of any ul blocks inside a nav block.
