CSS CSS Grid Layout Flexible Sized Grids Control the Auto-placement of Grid Items

Max width grid

Does the max-width get affected when using grid-auto for the implicit grid

1 Answer

Hi Azzie,

The simple answer is no. Your max-width is set and if you add columns that are sized beyond the max-width, they will eventually overflow the container. You can test this by declaring only grid-auto-columns: 1100px. This will create one column in the grid and it overflows the container.

I hope this helps! Happy coding!
