iOS Swift Enums and Structs Structs Stored Properties

May I please get assistance on task 2of2 on Structs. my code is below.

struct Expense { var description:String var amount:Double

init (description:String){
self.description = description

}

}

var travel = Expense(description:"Flight to Cupertino",amount:"500.00")

struct.swift
struct Expense {
   var description:String
   var amount:Double

    init (description:String){
    self.description = description

    }
}

var travel = Expense(description:"Flight to Cupertino",amount:"500.00")

Hiya,

First off, the amount variable is a Double, so you don't need the double quotes around the value you are assigning to it. So, 500.00 not "500.00".

I think that'll get you through it.

You're very close!

A) One issue is that you have a numerical (double) argument in quotes, as if it's a string. B) The other is that an init block isn't necessary for the creation of this struct.

struct Expense {
   var description:String
   var amount:Double
}

var travel = Expense(description:"Flight to Cupertino", amount:500.00)
