how can i make computer create the variable time?

let me use a explame to explain it first. x=5 or var_saying ="Hello World". We can see x or vary_saying is the variable to 5 or the string"Hello World". Well,thing is little bit same when you are using a variable to a list. If you use variable time to any item in the list "store_hours" You can't really say time=store_hours. You need to use in statment. Therefore,the code is time in store_hours ,not time = store_hours. I used to be kind of confused about this time. i feel Mrs. love didn't really explain it at all.

store_open = None
store_hours = [9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18]
#Keep that in mind,because variable time is any item or hour in the list"store_hours". Therefore,the code is time in store_hours ,not time = store_hours

else:
