Missing setting in Drupal 8

When I got to this video [ https://teamtreehouse.com/library/drupal-basics/site-building-with-the-drupal-interface/articles ], and changed the default front page back to the default setting, my post did not show up on the front page. I checked and double checked my settings, and noticed that there is an option missing in the version of Drupal that I have downloaded. Apparently something has changed between 7.3.8 and 8, and after looking in all of the logical places, I can't seem to get this to work. The post author will show, but not the title and everything like she shows in the video. I have screenshots to share if needed. Please help!

The course is teaching you how to use Drupal 7. There are many changes in Drupal 8 so you should download the latest Drupal 7 recommended release if you want to follow along with this course. Drupal 8 was recently released and is not heavily used yet so it will be beneficial to learn Drupal 7.

Thank you, Micah. I will download the older version that is available. Maybe Treehouse should put a note up stating that somewhere. (Or maybe I should be less of a newb, haha!) Again, thanks! :)
