Misspelling in the Websites: Design Foundations: Understanding Aesthetics: Color Video

Complementary is spelled Complimentary so when you type it into the quiz misspelled, you get a wrong answer. I just thought you all should know!

Thanks for pointing this out Tarra! I'll bring this up to the appropriate teacher. Though, I believe complementary is actually correct. On the Merriam Webster dictionary it states the following:

com·ple·men·ta·ry adjective \?käm-pl?-?men-t(?-)r?\

  1. relating to or constituting one of a pair of contrasting colors that produce a neutral color when combined in suitable proportions

The quiz doesn't appear to accept either spelling. In the video it's spelled with an "i"; in the show notes below the video it's spelled with an "e". Neither spelling was accepted in the quiz when I took it today.

Great course though; I am really enjoying it!

This got me too but would be cool if maybe something spotted typos and highlighted your spelling mistakes on questions like this. I'm dyslexic so half the time I think I've typed the wrong answer then realise after re-watching a video that it's my spelling that's off.

That is a good point. I also suffer from this and maybe this is also why I became a filmmaker. Visuals aren't dyslexic, or at least not all of the time. Glad you are enjoying the course. Was a fun one to make!
