135 PointsMongoose concat fields before searching them
Is there a way to concatenate two fields before using a RegExp to see if it would match the users input. Something like this:
SELECT * FROM users WHERE CONCAT(first_name, " ", last_name) LIKE %userInput% OR WHERE email LIKE %userInput%;
So far I've managed to get it to search for emails using this
User.find({ $or: [{ email: new RegExp(`${req.params.search}`) }] })
but I can't find what i need to add to this or to get it to search the joined fields. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
