My code is not working

def just_right(x):

if (len(x)<5):
    print("Your string is too short")
elif (len(x)>5):
    print("Your string is too long")
else:
    return True
strlen.py 
def just_right(x):

    if (len(x)<5):
        print("Your string is too short")
    elif (len(x)>5):

Hi Uday,

Please see the below code I used to pass this challenge:

def just_right(stringArg):
    if len(stringArg) < 5:
        return "Your string is too short"
    elif len(stringArg) > 5:
        return "Your string is too long"
    else:
        return True

You don't need to put brackets around your if and elif conditional statements and the challenge asks you to return the strings instead of printing them.

The challenge requires that your function returns the results. Your function is actually printing some of the results instead of return. The revised code is as follows;

def just_right(x):
    if len(x)<5:
        return "Your string is too short"
    elif len(x)>5:
        return "Your string is too long"
    else:
        return True
