My main css file isn't reflecting any changes to the website. What am I missing here?

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Myles Hyson | Seeker</title> <link rel"stylesheets" href"css/normalize.css"> <link rel"stylesheets" href"css/main.css"> </head> <body> <header> <a href="index.html"> <h1>Myles Hyson</h1> <h2>Seeker</h2> </a> <nav> <ul> <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="motorcycles.html">Motorcycles</a></li> <li><a href="books.html">Books</a></li> </ul> </nav> </header> <section> <ul> <li> <a href="img/numbers-01.jpg"> <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt""> <p>Experimentation with texture and color.</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-02.jpg"> <img src="img/numbers-02.jpg" alt""> <p>What the what.</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-06.jpg"> <img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt""> <p>Picture.</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-09.jpg"> <img src="img/numbers-09.jpg" alt""> <p>What's up my brotha</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-12.jpg"> <img src="img/numbers-12.jpg" alt""> <p>Oh my gosh this is so awesome.</p> </a> </li> </ul> </section> <footer> <a href="https://www.facebook.com"><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt"Facebook"></a> <a href="http://twitter.com"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt"Facebook"></a> </footer> </body> </html>

Hi Myles,

You need to insert a = between rel and " and href and "css. like this.

<link rel="stylesheets" href="css/normalize.css">
<link rel="stylesheets" href="css/main.css">

Hope this helps.

Ok I added the equal signs, but it still won't show up.

Also,

Its rel="stylesheet" and not rel="stylesheets"

Hey Myles,

Is your css folder called main.css? (has to be exactly that, not Main.css)

Is your index.html folder beside it? (not in another folder or beside main.css file)

Thanks man, changing "stylesheets" to "stylesheet" did the trick.

I'm having the same issue, but neither of those fixes are working for me.....

Here is my code:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/normalize.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css">

Then in the CSS style sheet: body { background-color: orange;

}

Can you tell me what's wrong with this?

nevermind, I figured it out. I put the folder name in caps.
