My simulator loads and goes into the app but their is only a dark black screen in it nothing else in it

It's just black and does nothing but it goes into the app with the animation . BTW i have deleted the lanchscreen.xib because i did not need it was this the problem or anything else ?

Try clicking Hardware, then clicking home. That should take you to the xCode screen.
