CSS CSS Basics (2014) Understanding Values and Units Rem Units

My "Tahoe" website is showing up completely different to what Guil's does in his video.

The text in my website isnt shifted to the left in the same way as is shown in the video, nor are my light grey top borders showing. I've tried tinkering with several elements to no success.

Check this REM units CSS3 link and read about the rem units in general and what exactly they mean.

If I had to guess you have a different root font size than Guil Hernandez and that's why your layout gets pushed around.

If you are following his video and your layout looks different it's because the rem.

You should look into the link I posted in the beggining to get a basic grasp about rem.
