Android Make a To Do List App

My ToDo List app only works for my own Google account and only with a debug apk in connecting to the Google Tasks Api.

I have a signed release apk and I have registered with the sha1 fingerprint on Google's dev console. But I cannot connect. I can't figure out what's wrong. Please help?
