The goals for 2021 are to complete the FEWD TD and then complete the FSJS TD.

Hello everyone. My name is Jonathan, and aspiring software developer. I graduated in October 2020 with a Masters in Information Systems Management. Several classes rekindled my desire to go deeper into learning to code, and I chose Treehouse. I'm very happy with decision.

Here is my LinkedIn Profile so let's connect.

I've completed units 1 & 2 so check out my profile page. My profile changes constantly as I learn new things.

I love all professional sports, my fave being the NFL(American football). I'm also passionate about all things data science and data analytics.

Hi Jonathan!

Loved the website you made. What a neat way to get to know you more. It has inspired me to make one for showcasing my own work. And, congrats on your Masters Degree!

What is your favorite NFL team?

My favorite NFL team is the Dallas Cowboys, and I've been a fan since I was a kid. Their ownership drives me crazy with their decisions, but I'm still hanging in their with them.

I have spent most of my 2020 learning Front End Development and advancing my knowledge in Javascript, React, Node, and Python. In December I was hired into a Junior Software Dev role working with ASP.net, C#, and SQL. So my 2021 is going to be spent learning a new language and adjusting to my new job.

I have been doing Treehouse off and on for a few years, I mainly use it as a supplemental resource to reenforce what I have been learning in school. Love the format that Treehouse uses to teach, I also use FreeCodeCamp as a resource for a lot of my learning.

When I am not in a class or coding I am playing video games or tinkering around with something technological.

Rich, Congrats on your Junior Software Dev role! That is awesome that you are continuing to push yourself and learn new programming languages. Hope the transition has been good!

What video games do you like playing?

Cheers, Kristina

Kristina Widman, I play a lot of retro games and Diablo 3 currently. Checked out your website as well and one of the pastors I work with speaks a lot in the areas you have in your website. Efrem Smith and Bob Balian of Bayside Midtown in Sacramento. Seems like you would enjoy them. Happy New Year.

Hi, my name is Tracy, and I'm in San Francisco.

My goals for 2021 is to get tech training and get a good job afterwards. A masters sounds like a great idea, too. I'm also interested in having a creative online business, self-employment, or freelancing.

There are so many areas of tech I'm interested in - software development, product management, UI/UX, data science, and visual design. I'm interdisciplinary in my interests and thinking, so it's hard to decide on just one area.

I'm enjoying the Treehouse FSJS Starter course that I started on yesterday. I've tried out coding classes before, but Treehouse makes it so doable, fun, and accessible! I really like how it's an online self-paced video format, I like the Workspaces, and the games!

My interests are hiking, reading, the arts, museums, cats, dogs, coffee, and tea. Love classical piano. During the pandemic, I've been checking out online ballet and yoga classes. Best wishes for the coming year!

Hi everyone.

This is Ashish from Uttarakhand, India. I'm a self-taught javascript developer with 2 years of experience in developing both React and React Native applications combined.

I'm currently learning UX and building micro-frontends applications with React. If you have any questions you can simply reach out to me here.

The goal of 2021 was to build my portfolio again from scratch with 2-3 products which will include mobile app & web app in each product. If anyone like to collaborate please ping me on LinkedIn.

Thanks & Happy New Year Everyone

Hi everyone!

Virginia here, posting from just south of my hometown of Louisville KY. I joined the Treehouse community last year through Code Louisville completing a track in Front End Web Development. For my class project I made SevDawn Photography a site showing off just a few of the HTML/CSS/Javascript skills I learned (with a little help from JQuery/Bootstrap) and in just a couple of weeks I'll be taking another Treehouse track on Javascript.

My main goal for 2021 is to career change into front end web development (here's my LinkedIn profile). I am also going to do my best to add to my portfolio now that things have calmed down a little at my current employer, Amazon. Peak season this year (Thanksgiving until just yesterday) was probably one of the more stressful ones thanks to covid19 but we did it! I'm really hoping that with the vaccine, things will start to open up again. One of the things we miss the most is our concerts, the last show I attended before covid19 shut everything down was Slayer's farewell show here in Louisville on Veteran's Day 2019 and it feels like a lifetime ago. I miss our concerts and our concert family.

It's been a rough 2020, here's hoping 2021 brings nothing but great things for everyone! Happy New Year!

Hi all!

My name is Kristina and I am honored to be apart of the Treehouse Community!

In 2021 I plan on learning Python through the Treehouse Techdegree program. I also have goals and aspirations of getting my first job in either front-end web development or programming. My other life goals are getting outside with my dog, mountain biking, hiking, and drinking delicious coffee.

Feel free to check out my LinkedIn

Currently I am working on Unit 1 project for Python Techdegree.

If you are curious, you could check out my first live website

Happy New Year's Eve! Cheers to a new year!

Hi Kristina. I just checked your live website, and it's awesome. Your website has lots of great material. It's nice to see a real-life example of a live website from a FEWD TD student. I hope you're blessed with your developer role in 2021!

Hello, all!

This is Tyler, writing in from North Carolina, US. I am a graduate of the FEWD TD, Slack Champion for its community, and a current student of the FullStack JS TD. I'm also exploring ReactJS (way ahead of schedule!), frameworks like Bootstrap and TailWindCSS and reading up on TypeScript.

For 2021 I am hoping to expand this knowledge by breaking into NextJS, checking out Headless-CMS like Strapi, and doing continued study in UX/UI design, and Web Accessibility. I would like to create Youtube content discussing Web Accessibility with UI design patterns in HTML.

Here is my LinkedIn Profile. I've been keeping actives with the #100daysofcode challenge.

My current projects include building a basic Weather App in React and doing another UI component build using ReactJS and TailwindCSS from existing design (this one is found at uidesigndaily.com

You can check out my previous component builds and Pure CSS Images designs via my CodePen

My current hobbies are null but in the spring I'll be back at it fishing!

Thanks all and happy coding!

Hello Everyone! My name is Mel and I'm currently doing the UX TD! I love it and I'm so close to finishing it! In 2021, I want to do the Python TD, and maybe move on to the FEWD TD as well! I love Treehouse and I'm currently a slack champ on the UX TD so I love to help out fellow students, complete peer reviews and just talk design and meet new people. I've met a lot of people through this forum who have been super kind, knowledgable and supportive. I am really starting to get into coding! Any tips on good career paths that would mesh well with UX is appreciated! Hobbies include: Learning about digital privacy rights, reading adversarial journalism, interior design, reading, writing and gardening. Looking forward to meeting all of you!
