NG Click - toggling variable

<!doctype html> <html lang="en"> <head> <title></title> <link href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Varela+Round' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> </head> <body ng-app="todoListApp">

<h1 ng-click="helloConsole()">My TODOs!</h1>

<div class="list" ng-controller="mainCtrl"> <input type="checkbox" ng-model="todo.completed"> <label ng-hide="editing">{{todo.name}}</label> <input ng-show="editing" class="editing-label" type="text" ng-model="todo.name"> <div class="actions"> <a href="" ng-click="editing">Edit</a> <a href="" ng-click="helloConsole()">Save</a> <a href="" class="delete">Delete</a> </div> </div>

<script src="vendor/angular.js"></script> <script src="scripts/app.js"></script> </body> </html>

Where did I make a mistake? As far as I understand editing variable should change value on click

index.html
<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
  <title></title>
  <link href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Varela+Round' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
</head>
<body ng-app="todoListApp">

  <h1 ng-click="helloConsole()">My TODOs!</h1>

  <div class="list" ng-controller="mainCtrl">
    <input type="checkbox" ng-model="todo.completed">
    <label ng-hide="editing">{{todo.name}}</label>
    <input ng-show="editing" class="editing-label" type="text" ng-model="todo.name">
    <div class="actions">
      <a href="" ng-click="editing">Edit</a>
      <a href="" ng-click="helloConsole()">Save</a>
      <a href="" class="delete">Delete</a>
    </div>
   </div>

  <script src="vendor/angular.js"></script>
  <script src="scripts/app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

To toggle the editing variable between false and true try the following:

<a href="" ng-click="editing = !editing">Edit</a>

If editing is false then !false will be true, and if it is true the !true will be false.
