No newline at the end of file/blank line contains whitespace?

it says there isn't a newline at the end of the file, then it when I put one, it says blank line contains whitespace?

starter.py 
numbers = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]


def add(num1, num2):
    return num1 + num2


def subtract(num1, num2):
    return num1 - num2


def mathy(num1, num2):
    up = add(5 + 7, 7 + 9)
    down = subtract(6, 3)
    return add(up, down)

It was because of spaces in the newlines! I got it, thanks.
