[nodemon] app crashed - waiting for file changes before starting...

After successfully installing nodemon, when I write nodemon in the terminal and press enter, it says "[nodemon] app crashed - waiting for file changes before starting...". What's going on?

You have to give nodemon a file or project to watch. Your nodemon command should look like this: nodemon [your node app].

Also, keep in mind that if you make changes to your node project, nodemon continues to watch your project and update accordingly. So, if you make a change that node can't run, it will crash nodemon until the issue is resolved. Then, nodemon will resume running the app.
