Not able to upload Images and other media files to the media library [ Local Host]

I am facing an issue on my local hosted WP site, where any time I attempt to upload a picture or other media file to the library i observe the following error.

"Image1" has failed to upload. The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2018/06.

This is preventing me from uploading media to my wordpress page.
