CSS How to Make a Website Styling Web Pages and Navigation Style the Portfolio

Not getting the results I expected. I added #gallery and its properties to my main.css.

Can someone take a look at my code. I have to be doing something wrong. My nav bar color has changed, only portfolio is visible while "about" and "contact" are hidden in white. Also, the functionality is not what it suppose to be. My pics are not stacking up as they should when manipulating the page. Any suggestions?
