Not seeing arithmetic operator results in debugging window of Xcode.

After laying down lines " int apples = 3 + 5; and int oranges = 10-3; " I am not seeing the results of these equations in the lower left corner debugging window of Xcode.

Is there a special setting in Xcode that I have not activated?
