JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Introducing JavaScript Link to an External Script

Not sure what is wrong with my answer

Hi, It says i haven't closed it but i ended my script line with a </script> I'm really not sure what is wrong here.

The question is really just asking me to link the shout.js file with the .html file. I inserted a <script src="shout.js"></script> and its still not correct.

please help!

index.html

  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
  <script src="shout.js"</script>
</body>
</html>

Youre not closing your opening tag, not your closing tag.

You have

<script src="shout.js"

It needs to be

<script src="shout.js">
// what you have
 <script src="shout.js"</script>

// answer
  <script src="shout.js"></script>
