20,364 PointsHi Susan Rusie,
Well, I admit it's a little to give you this answer, but better late than never |o|. Also, as a general principle, it seems like when you receive that type of message like yours:
throw new Error('Connection strategy not found')
... the problem is most likely to be found around the section where you establish the connection to the db.
In this case, your code was perfect, I think, but you just had a little typo here:
// use sessions for tracking logins
app.use(session({
secret: 'treehouse loves you',
resave: true,
saveUninitialized: false,
store: new MongoStore({
mongoooseConnection: db // --> this `mongoose` should have two Os and it has three (`mongooose`).
})
}));
Hope that helps you and/or someone else (even my own future self ha ha!)

var express = require('express');
var router = express.Router();
var User = require('../models/user');
var mid = require('../middleware'); // <-------
You're not importing middleware file instead you're importing a folder. Correct this by:
var mid = require('../middleware/logout');
