Not sure why this is incorrect.

Not sure why this is giving me this error.

app.js
var fullName = getElementById("full_name");
var lastName;
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<h1 id="full_name"><span class="first_name">Andrew</span> <span class="last_name">Chalkley</span></h1>

<script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

It's incorrect because you can't use the getElementById function on it's own, it belongs to the document object and has to be called on it like this:

var fullName = document.getElementById("full_name");
