:not(:first-child) not working in chrome

typed in the css just like in the video but it didnt work in my preview

Without seeing the actual code, three possibilities come to mind:

  • you still need to save your changes with the menu or cntl-S shortcut
  • you still needed refresh your browser
  • you might have a typo
