Nothing appears in history after commiting and syncing continues endlessly after clicking Publish

First of all, after I commit the changes nothing appears in the history. And if I try to publish it, no window with options appears, like in the video. Instead it just tries to sync the files, but obviosly fails because it's not stopping or showing any progress.

Also checked my github online, still no repository in it.
