So I have been tasked with having the number of unread articles for each particular user show up as a notification some where (much like on this site, each time you log in at the top right, it lets you know how many unwatched videos you have). I could use some help on where to get started. I think it might have something to do with sessions and perhaps even the rss feed? If anyone can send me an article that can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
