In the video he uses object like a data type, but he doesnโ€™t have an object class, so what does it mean: Object object = new Object();

Object is a class which is built into java, he is referring to this https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/lang/Object.html

Object is the superclass of all existing objects in Java. So just like you could instantiate your own classes, you can do it with Object as well.
