OK, let's do another test. Get the last two items from favorite_things and put them into slice2.

it keep saying didn't find the right items

slices.py 
favorite_things = ['raindrops on roses', 'whiskers on kittens', 'bright copper kettles',
                   'warm woolen mittens', 'bright paper packages tied up with string',
                   'cream colored ponies', 'crisp apple strudels']

slice1 = favorite_things[1:4]
slice2 = favorite_things[4:]

Your slice2 variable includes the last 3 list items, change the 4 to a 5 to fix this: slice2 = favorite_things[5:]
