OMG! Kill me!

Please put me out of my misery! What am I doing wrong?

slices.py
def first_4(x):
    return x[0:4]

def first_and_last_4(x):
    return x[-4:]

return (first_4(x) + first_and_last_4(x))

Hi, i believe the answer to the second part of the question needs to return the answer inside a single function. i found the slices separately (iterable 0 to 4 and iterable -4 to the end)... and then "added" them together.

I used the following code --->

(ive forgotten how to post code snapshots)

def first_4(iterable): return iterable[:4]

def first_and_last_4(iterable): return iterable[:4]+iterable[-4:]

you don't want the last return to appear without a function.
