C# C# Basics (Retired) Perform if / else

On code challenge if/else in C# after i write my else statement i get a compiler error saying unexpected {

    Console.Write(language + " is not C#");

The error message is a bit misleading. It's actually the conditional expression you have after the "else" which is causing the trouble.

:point_right: An ordinary else statement (not else if) does not take a conditional expression.

Just remove that and you should be fine.
