PHP CRUD Operations with PHP Reading and Writing Reports Filtering Data

Optinal Param fails

<?php function get_people($opt = false) { include 'connection.php'; $optStr = ""; if($opt){ $optStr = "Where treehouse = 1"; }

//add code here
$res = $db->query("select * from people  ". $optStr ." order by last_name DESC;");
return $res->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);

}

Receive Bummer! Parameter should be optional. But parameter is optional.

index.php
<?php
function get_people($opt = false) {
    include 'connection.php';
    $optStr = "";
    if($opt){
      $optStr = "Where treehouse = 1";
    }

    //add code here
    $res = $db->query("select * from people  ". $optStr ." order by last_name DESC;");
    return $res->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);
}

I'm not sure if this is a mistake on their end, or intentional, but it needs to be

<?php
function get_people($opt = null) {

Not false I'm not sure why entirely. I do know in the video prior to the challenge it uses null so that may be the reason, but seems silly.
