Our RoundButton class should have its own implementation of the incrementBy method. Override the incrementBy method

my code is coming up with an error you didnt add the incrementBy .

not sure why

Button.swift
class Button {
  var width: Double
  var height: Double

  init(width:Double, height:Double){
    self.width = width
    self.height = height
  }

  func incrementBy(points: Double){
    width += points
    height += points
  }
}

class RoundButton: Button {
override func incrementBy (- points: Double = 7.0) {
width += points
height += points

}

  var cornerRadius: Double = 5.0
}

You have a minus sign before the points in your method attributes. Remove the - sign.

Hey Jon,

you have a - sign in the methods attributes of the override function of the subclass RoundButton like Ole said, you have to change it to an _ sign for the code to work. You have to do this if you want to set a default value, like in this case.

After the change the code should look like this and it should work now:

class Button {
    var width: Double
    var height: Double

    init(width:Double, height:Double){
        self.width = width
        self.height = height
    }

    func incrementBy(points: Double){
        width += points
        height += points
    }
}

class RoundButton: Button {
    override func incrementBy (_ points: Double = 7.0) {
        width += points
        height += points

    }

    var cornerRadius: Double = 5.0
}
