Passing props in React to router components.

How would you go about doing this? I'm trying to pass a variable into the "SlothComponent" so that this component can use it.

For example, this is the route I'd like to pass something into. I have a feeling you use the render method, but I'm not sure how this is done!

<Route exact path= "/sloths" component= {SlothComponent} />

Any help will be great, thanks guys :)
