JavaScript Interactive Web Pages with JavaScript Traversing and Manipulating the DOM with JavaScript Changing Classes

perform: changing classes challenge task 1

This is a code challenge task 1 after completing interactive JavaScript Perform: changing classes. I can't figure out why I keep getting an error when trying to answer this question. I checked the Mozilla site and looked up the classList method. I looked at the examples and believe what I'm doing is correctly. So I must be missing something. Any help will be helpful.

Thanks John

app.js
var anchor = document.querySelector("a");

//Add the class to the classList "selected"

anchor.classList.add(selector);

//Toggle the class "live"
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>

  <a href="#">Home</a>

  <script src="app.js"></script>

</body>
</html>

Don't worry about this question. The code you see is when I was expermenting and is not what I uses as an answer. I retyped the code and it worked. The answer to task 1 was

anchor.classList.add("selected");

Sorry. - John
