Permanent Delete for Superusers Only - Do I need Frankenview?

I'm building a database and would like there to be a trash bin where you could mark records as being 'in the trash' - which wouldnt actually delete the record, it would just move it out of view and these records wouldn't show up anywhere but in a trash bin. I'd like users that are designated superusers to be able to permanently delete records though - maybe a 'Permanent Delete' button shows up for superusers next to the recycle button that shows up for all users. Do I need a frankenview to do this? Mixing a updateview and a deleteview?
