petName variable to the value of the EditText

please with the answer i dont know where am getting it wrong . thanks

Hi!

You just have to call the method toString() after the method getText(). Since you're getting the to put it in a string, you have to do this;

Your code will be like : String petNamefield =petNameField.getText().toString();

I hope it helps
