Photoshop Foundations

Can this class be applied to Pixelmator as well? Unfortunately even though I am sure the classes are A+ like everything around here Photoshop is quite expensive and the 30 days Trial is not enough for one to grasp the information.

We use Adobe products since it is industry standard, but Pixelmator can most definitely work as an effective graphics editor for web design. You can follow the Photoshop tutorials for general direction of tools and techniques you should learn to use in Pixelmator, but it may be frustrating if you are looking to follow the videos exactly.

Adobe Creative Cloud as James mentioned is available for students for $19.99 a month: http://www.adobe.com/education/products/creativecloud.edu.html?showEduReq=no

If that's still not in your budget, Pixelmator should really be just fine until you land a job after school and your boss gets it for you :)

Abudeezo has some fun tutorials that might help you get started: http://abduzeedo.com/tags/pixelmator

Creative Cloud, at it's 49 USD / month it's still quite expensive for a student... Thanks for mentioning though!

Edit: And for me it's actually 61 Euros - gotta love Europe, eh?

Saw that, but I live in Romania and I do not qualify for the discount. I have found a few local alternatives but I would be required to change my major...

Seb,

I wonder if you have solved the issue?

I'd like to give you a hand if it's necessary
