PHP courses

Whats happening with TreeHouse PHP courses? I dont see any 'new' videos about something 'new' . Although there are few cool tuts like Drupal and other for beginners, but what about ones that were in trello?

Well, we cover the loop in the other courses which is slightly outdated with Randy but i mean why the PHP track or courses arent more closely related like Rails?

Where you have log in system etc.. u know what i mean i hope. Here , in my opinin there arent really any advanced PHP courses like OOP. Yes i have seen the course with Hampton ,but thats a bit useless on its own. If it would show how to make a login or anything else, real practice, that would be more useful .

Yeah I understand what you mean, Have you completed the whole PHP track which has SQL foundations and GIT foundations?

I havent complted the whole track, since i learned MySQL somewhere else, but i did look at treehouse as well, and did the application , and some other, and i can make a simple website with e.g automated navigation with php , etc.. simple website with php , but yet, how would i make it into a dashboard? or extend it to a web app? I dont see any infor it would help me to achieve it.

And i havent gone thorw git tutorials yet. My plan is to get there after i sort my self with WordPress development and then learn git and console etc..

I was learning from BradHussey as well as form PHP Academy which i learned merged with treehouse tutorials but what about an web app like facebook ish ?

Thats what im talking about. I did that. Thats the most basic store. What if i want to enhance it so users can log in with OOP , add thier own profile, like facebook or treehouse ?

It would be nice if treehouse would do it : p with OOP. Thank you for that but its not OOP : p And i mean to be able to write functions and r euse them and all that.

it might be what you are looking for. It looks like Treehouse is having a new teacher for PHP so that's why they might be lagging in coming out with new videos like Ruby.

lol, come on, im never gonna afford 400pound for a course ;d i could, bu i wont spend it like that coz its a lot : p Eventually a person will learn, its just the time taken to learn it, which i want to spend few months in PHP so i understand it, and all, and get my head around it well, and then go into Rails as well , but firstly since im with WordPress, i was thinking about laraver and pure OOP PHP

But thank you for that, have a better look at home.

There are many open source libraries that handle user authentication (like Laravel!). Why not take a look around the code? I think it's based on symfony authentication - if it's not, it shouldn't be worlds away!

A random google search showed this slim auth middleware package amongst many others. If Treehouse do release a course, it will be based on what's already in these packages. There are millions on github!

it's no secret - just takes a bit of time looking around the latest projects.

Authentication in itself is not a framwork - it's an independent component used by frameworks and non-frameworks alike. As I say, there's some really good code knocking around the web! The code used by the frameworks would be where I'd start because it's tried and (literally) tested.

Aaa so ur saying to look in laraver pure code? like in WP you can look at the backend
